16 Weeks

This week was a really fun week. I spent 3 days in CA visiting family and meeting my new nephew. That trip will get its own post so be looking for that! Other than that, it has been a pretty normal week. I also learned that another of my friends is going to be having a baby in July as well and I’m so very excited for her. This will be baby #2 and I’m so glad ours will be close together. Our birthdays are within 2 weeks of each other and it would be so cool if our babies were that close as well. We don’t get to see each other often, but when you know someone for 20 years or so….you can’t help but be Forever Friends.

How far along: 16 Weeks

Total weight gain: 3 lbs

Maternity clothes: My regular dress pants are still fitting ok, I just don’t button the top 2 buttons. I’m wearing all maternity tops and definitely maternity jeans.

Stretch marks: None but I have been a little itchy so I’m using lots of lotion to keep my skin soft.

Sleep: I’m sleeping much better thanks to the pillow. If I wake up though, I have to go to the bathroom. I’ve been having a lot of crazy dreams this week.

Best moment of this week: Visiting CA! The weather was beautiful and warm, Jack is absolutely perfect, and it was so fun getting to spend time with Joe’s family. We laughed A LOT!!! There were definitely several times where my stomach hurt from all the laughing.

Miss anything: I missed my bed this week while in CA and being able to eat anything I wanted. It’s hard to turn down fresh fish or a Jimmy John’s sandwich. Also, clear skin! My face has never broken out as much as it is right now. It clears up and then breaks out in a new place.

Movement: Not yet…I don’t think. If I have felt it then I didn’t realize it. At my last ultrasound my Dr. noticed my placenta is a little in front so it may take longer to feel movement.

Food cravings: French fries and ketchup!

Anything making you queasy or sick: The smell of Subway is not appetizing but mainly because I had a sandwich there a few weeks ago that didn’t settle very well.

Have you started to show yet: Yes, especially when I have on maternity clothes.

Gender: 1 more week!! Looking forward to Feb 3!

Wedding rings on or off: On

Looking forward to: My friend Robyn is coming to visit next week and that means meeting Charlotte for the first time! We already have a plan to watch The Bachelor together and hopefully dinner or lunch on another day so we can get all caught up!
